Antique Afghani silver earrings

Antique Afghani silver earrings
A simple, beautiful pair of triple-drop Afghani earrings which I found in Peshawar, Pakistan in 1993. Peshawar lies on the Pakistani border with Afghanistan and was, historically and currently, of strategic importance due to its location at the entrance of the Khyber Pass. It is a major pont of access in and out of Afghanistan. Due to the current circumstances in the region, Peshawar is, for the foreseeable future, virtually off limits to westerners, especially women. Any items which I have gathered from there therefore hold special value.
