Necklace, Antique single chevron off multistrand vintage beads

This necklace is made of an extremely rare 17th century Venetian Chevron bead, sourced in Venice itself. The elegance and technical refinement of Chevrons makes these among the most treasured of antique trading beads. Chevrons were a favourite of African chiefs who wore them with lion's teeth and other amulets to demonstrate their power and virility. In this necklace the Chevron beads is combined with a multi strand of vintage Czech glass seed beads. A one-off necklace, an heirloom piece.
